1. What's your name? Como te llamas?

- My name is Isabel García Cabalgante

2. Where were you born? Cuando naciste?

- I was born on November 4, 1934

3. When were you born? Donde naciste?

- I was born in Higueras de Vargas (Badajoz)

4. How many brothers you were? Cuantos hermanos erais?

- There were 10 brothers, but now only stay 3

5. What games did you play? A que juegos jugabais?

- When I was little playing Alfiler or Imbo

6. What did you do for fun? Que hacias para divertirte?


- To have fun playing with my friends or taking care of my father and my brothers

You had freedom to go out with your friends? Tenias libertad a la hora de salir con tus amigas?

- In my day was not free to go out with your friends in party

Did you go to school? Ibas al colegio?

- I could not go to school, I had to look after my family, but I learned to read and write at home

9. Did you like studying? Te gustaba estudiar?

- I liked learning but I did at home

10. How old were you when you left school? Con cuantos años dejaste los estudios?

- At age 16 I had my first child and had to stop reading and writing

How old were you when you began to work? Con cuantos años empezaste a trabajar?

- I started working at age 29 when I came to live in Catalonia

How was the Franco dictatorship? Como era la dictadura de Franco?

- In the Franco era had more unity and love among all

- My best experiences are my children, my grandchildren and have health

14. 3 negative experiences in your life. 3 experiencias negativas en tu vida

- My worst experiences have been my marriage and when I lost 4 of my 7 children

- I miss not being able to go with my friends to the disco, or out for a drink

What can I do?

We must give them tools so they can cultivate their own crops.
Give materials to fish and they themselves do.
Give all the clothes and not use to not go cold.
Let there be no more war I think they should stop making all weapons.
